From NCL:
FRA-Lufthansa Cityline Seems an obvious choice German businesses in area
CPH- Go perhaps??? CPH very popular for tourists
OSL- Wideroe Lots of Norweigans visit NCL from Oslo but have to fly via SVG
ZRH- Crossair?????
ATH- Olympic or Cronus?? Large Greek poplation in and around NCL (especially students, so maybe low-cost airline for this ???
BCN-Go Peugeout/Nissan businesses
LCY- BE Good for business travellers to London.

I´d like to see Mannheim connected to a real LH hub, not just THF and HAM. FRA would probably too close, but MUC would be nice. Perhaps some airline operating 19 seaters could join Team LH.

I would really like to see a flight to either EWR or JFK. After SAS suspended its daily flight to EWR, OSL no longer have non-stop flights to the US.

I would really like Continental to fly Houston to Bermuda direct. To fly there on Onepass miles, I would have to fly through Newark, making it a really long flight.

5-10 years ago they were considering building a new £50m terminal building at FZO and turn it into a commercial airport, but the residents complained about the noise and traffic, and so it never materialized. Instead they built a Mall, which probably has 10,000 people through a day.

So much for the traffic, stupid bristolian dumbasses!

MST-FRA (KLM-exel or Lufthansa)
MST-THF (KLM-exel or Lufthansa) (was cancelled 1 year ago)
MST-HAM (KLM-exel or Lufthansa)
MST-LHR (British Airways)
MST-MXP (KLM-exel) (cancelled due to the crisis)
MST-BCN (KLM-exel)

Frankfurt and Hamburg have the most chance of success. The MST-MUC route is quite succesfull (KLM exel, ERJ-145 3x a day) as the airport is situated closeby the german border.
Berlin and Milan were cancelled but especially Berlin would be an option. THe flight was cancelled with a yield of 20% with 4 daily ERJ-145 flights. A simple downgrade to 3 flights a day with a smaller aircraft would make quite the difference.

Well if you ask...

from BRU,

1.to Tokyo, this route was flown before by Sabena, on ANA or JAL would be nice.
2. to Hong Kong, on Cathay Pacific. CXs daughter, Air Hong Kong flys cargo to BRU.
3. to Seoul, on Asiana or Korean and perhaps on to Japan if the Japanese airlines stay away from BRU. Asiana and Korean already operate cargo flights to BRU. Asiana used to fly with combi 747s to BRU, before the Asia crisis.

How about a transatlantic from GOT? Perhaps to EWR with CO? Today all the tranatlantic passengers have to connect in ARN, CPH, LHR, FRA or another major hub.
City Airline shoiuld open a few more routes, one will probably be opened this spring, but I don't no where to yet.
How about Alitalia to LIN or MXP, or even FCO, or IB to BCN or MAD? GOT don't have many flights to southern Europe. However, all these routes except FCO are proposed by City Airline, but it would be nice to see some new carriers at GOT.

A few realistic routes from Leeds Bradford International

LBA-FRA LBA-MUC both due to the large local German population and Finance in the region
LBA-Copenhagen (can never remember the code!) Lots of trade with Scandanavia
LBA-Karachi/Lahore Large ethnic population of Pakistani's (would have to be A310's due to the runway)
LBA-PMI cos my Mom lives there and there are lots of UK expats and plenty of Spaniards here in Yorkshire

i would like to see continental begin service to EDI. It looks like this might become a reality, the airline was about to announce a service around 911, but due to the turmoil caused the plan was abandoned. Talks are now going on between BAA and CO and an announcement will hopefully be made shortly about a flight. It is unlikely to be this summer though, we might have to wait till 2003...

What i would really like to see is either BAA sell EDI to a private company, or them to stop being so biased towards GLA, and see that EDI is a far better airport, and has much higher potential.

I would also like to see any flights from carlisle, as that would be neat. I hope BA buys it and turns it into a maintance facility, that would really kick ass...

Ryanair from Cork to Hahn, Germany. Cork badly needs a low cost, direct service to Germany. The Aer Lingus flights to Frankfurt are via Dublin and I guess, pricey to boot. Also, a service from Cork to Barcelona in the summer at least by one of the Iberia franchise companies with CRJs/ERJ? For the time being the old chestnut of a direct North Atlantic service is, sadly, unrealistic.

I think I am fully covered at LAX... I mean, between the 75 airlines that service LAX, I think I can get to just about anywhere I could imagine wanting to go.

I think we have just as many destinations as JFK - if not more.

Whereas JFK has places like Africa covered, we have Asia and the South Pacific pretty well mapped out.
