I just read in the newspaper about different things people had complained to SAS and Braathens about during 2001. The absolute most interessting one was this:
A woman was flying from Scandinavia to EWR on a SAS B767, when she descided to visit the toilet. She did what she had to do, and flushed down while still sitting on the toilet (she shouldn't have done that)
The toilet created a great vacum inder her behind, which resulted in she beeing stuck on or in (what ever you want) the toilet. She wasn't able to raise up due to the vacum, and contacted the crew. Neither they could remove her from the toilet seat, so she had to sit there for the rest of the flight unitil some mechanics @ EWR could remove her.
And the morale is: Don't flush while sitting on the toilet seat.
quite funny isn't it.

Yes, I've heard something like this before. However I heard that the force was so strong that some of the insides had been sucked......outside !!!.. NASTY !

I find it very hard to believe. The same story circulated about an AA flight. It's got to be an urban legend.

the toilet seats are often shaped like a 'U' so that they cannot create a complete suction..

This actually happened, and the lady is suing the airline- there is another post going about this.

Some technical info`s about the vacum toilet.
The toilet when flushed above 160`uses differential pressure (cabin inside and outside pressure differential) to get the suction nessesary to transport the waste to the tank.
From Sea level and up to 160`it uses a vacum pump.
There are a safety shutoff valve at each toilet bowl (this has to be manualy operated, and will shut of the actual toilet from the wasteline and thereby the vacum sorce). Not operated I guess, since she sat on that toilet until they had landed.
As described before the upper lid on the toilet is shaped as an u with the opening from the wall. There are also small distance pieces underneat that lid. To keep distance between the lid and the lower bowl.
An to the discussion to this story, I find it true.
A combination of several factors as weight, size etc and MURPHY and you have this rare incident and Funny story.
And what have we all learned from this:

Ha ha ha.... I heard the same story. It's too bad that the lady had to go through that. But it was pretty funny. And hey, look on the bright side for her, at least she didn't have to worry about turbulence while she was stuck to the seat.

This is an urban legend. If you want proof, simply visit http://www.urbanlegends.com and search for the word "toilet". That doesn't mean there isn't a bit of truth to it, as things like this have happened, but it's a story that is constantly retold in different forms and updated as it goes and therefore fits the definition of folklore.
I believe the original story actually originated on a ship (this one was true, as was a case that I believe happened in a swimming pool), but there are also cites for aircraft cases (untrue ones) in the urbanlegends.com archive as well.

Funny! I heard of this before on a different airline. Maybe the FA should add this to their pre flight safety demos/videos/safety cards.
"Do not flush while seated" placard on the lav door!
We had a passenger one on a B757 from SJC to BOS that was basically to wide to fit into the lav period! To make matters worse this passenger was mobility challenged and required an aisle chair!!!!!
