Can someone please list all of the special liveries and their regs? I've lost track. Just FULL livery, not nose decals.

Thank you. :)

737-300 Specials are the following

N383SW- Arizona One
N601WN- Jack Vidal (Nose Decal)
N607SW - June Morris (Nose Decal)
N609SW - California One (Paint)
N629SW- Silver One (Decal)

I'd imagine the replacements for some of these A/C will be between the N94*WN and N95*WN A/C..

No announcement has been made yet. Plenty of rumors in other threads but they are just that, rumors not even worth digging up. I'm sure WN will share when ready!

From what I saw posted on IG. The new California One will be N943WN and is currently getting repainted into the California One colors. Look for it to be done February 9th.

^I believe it to be desert gold, and maybe there is no need for 3 of them, as long as they keep one? I'm guessing they will keep one Spirit (canyon blue) also, and then the rest will be the Heart (bold blue) paint scheme except for the special states and triple crown.

I enjoy retro liveries, but I always wished the desert gold aircraft were kept in the actual desert livery, and not the gold modified livery they have today.

As for a retro canyon blue livery, I wouldn't be against it, but I get the feeling it would seem like they forgot to paint one plane.

Thats what I thought...so to me it makes sense to have

1 Gold
1 Spirit
Speciality planes (States and Triple Crown)

Then the main Heart livery for the rest of the fleet.

I just wish there was an AirTran hybrid livery.

Currently there are 3 aircraft in the gold scheme. I forget their numbers but one is to honor Herb (N number ends in HK), the second honors Colleen (ends in CB) and the third is the last-700 to arrive in the original livery. All together the three represent the original triangle of DAllas, Houston, and San Antonio.

There are only two A/C in the gold livery. N711HK and N714CB. 711 recently got repainted into its classic colors, 792 is flying around in the Heart Livery. I am not too sure 8301 will remain in the Spirit livery, but I could be wrong.. N943WN will be the new California One.

Did you not read the posts saying that it is already down to 2?

And rumors point that 714 may be going to the Heart livery also.

N383SW aka Arizona One should be retired soon, I assume we'll see a new Arizona One -700 pop up soon.

I'm honestly more interested in Southwest's progress on REPAINTING -700s over just new deliveries. Deliveries and retirements are easily trackable. Does anyone have an update on how many aircraft are in the new livery?

None of the -800s have been repainted, any -800 in the new livery was delivered in the new livery.

I am sure "Arizona 2.0" will make its debut before the end of 2017.

I was in Tucson yesterday at the boneyard and counted 15 SWA 300's which were in various stages of being parted out. Sadly 5 had new paint jobs in the new livery. Cannot understand why SWA let a/c that were to be retired shortly undergo an expensive new paint job. I mean they looked brand new!!!

I was there a couple of weeks ago and I was shocked to see WN 737s in new colours in the Ascend compound. Seems like a real waste of money to repaint them just before disposing of them.

Having visited LAS, PHX and TUS, I was surprised how many planes were in new colours.

There's really no answer on that yet? Ok.

There are a large number of MX & MX related services and events that airlines don't do themselves and must have done by vendors. Re-Paints are in this category. Normally this is a reasonably orderly process, but very often what happens is that for operational and/or other MX reasons, the tail scheduled for the repaint will not be available at the appointed time. As there is somewhat of lead time for this (supplies, emp scheduling, etc...), most vendors have cancellation fees that are pretty close to just having another plane re-painted.

So another tail comes off the line to get painted. And very occasionally, this is a tail that's either pending retirement, or right on the fence. In that way, it isn't as wasteful as it sounds. In any case, none of the airlines we've ever dealt with have been exempt from these conditions, so it stands to reason that this is the case for WN as well.

This happens for a lot of other services and MX events as well. I happen to know of an aircraft that received a new set of PDUs (Underfloor IFE componentry), four weeks before being sent to VCV for good. Stuff like that is just not as visible is all. ..

Haven't noticed any WN aircraft from FR24's 'On The Ground' section spending significant time at GEG in a few months. Are they still preforming re-paints there or have they moved to a different location?
