Starting from 29NOV16, FZ will launch 2 daily flights to Bangkok, Thailand.

Can they manage it with their Boeing 737-800 nonstop? Isn't that too far or do they try to exhaust the max. range of their aircrafts?

Might be an attempt to capture the point-to-point traffic.

Do FlyDubai offer connections?
Let's fly! Unless it's on a CRJ 200, then I'll stay down here.

EK has departures at 0300, 0340, 0850, 0940, 1145, 1950 and 2230 (as well as TG at 2055) so a 0120 and 1620 departure seems to fit well within the existing flights (if departure time/frequency is that important on the route). Otherwise, it seems like a very odd decision to run an aircraft on a route that long where the aircraft will unlikely be able to carry a full load of pax and cargo when so many other options are available.

Btw, isn't FlyDubai subsidiary of Emirates? And TG is getting attacked harder.

Yes, DXB to BKK is a 6.5 hour, 3050NM flight. An incredibly long flight in a 737.

Their longest flight is currently to Prague which is 2776NM. So, not a massive increase, per se - but still a significant one when flying such a distance.

Flydubai and Emirates are two separate entities, although they share the same Chairman.

Can anyone check the luggage Policy for this specific flight ? I search for a return trip with the basic fare "pay-to-change" and they seem to offer 30kg free allowance whereas other flights with same fare category offers only 7kg hand luggage...
I hope for them it's an error...

I think the 30kg free allowance will be introductory to promote the new route, FZ always tough when it come to baggages , In fact it is a good I one for them to charge you for the baggage

That must be some pretty heavy load then. If you had a full 738 cabin with 160 pax and approx 20/30kg per pax for a flight of 6+ hours, I think you'd never make it
