Guessing a critical onboard medical emergency that could not hold until DFW?

Two days in a row? FlightAware and FlightRadar24 both show EK221 diversions to OKC on the 15th and 16th.

What an odd occurrence to see such a foreign bird in Oklahoma City! Reminds me in 1978 or so, I was flying to SFO and all Bay Area airports were fogged in, so we had to divert to Sacramento (back then only about 5 airlines). There was this Pan Am 747SP sitting on the runway. There were no customs facilities in Sac back then, so they stayed on board.

I think a double-daily A380 could work for OKC.

In that case, it sounds like winds aloft were worse than planned so they didn't have the fuel to make DFW (even with planned contingencies) and had to divert for a top-up.

KOKC to KDFW is about 178nm at .80 mach is roughly 20 minutes of clock.
You have to draw the line somewhere, has to be tough to miss it by such short distance to top up.

Wish I had known I would have made an effort to go give it a look see.
