G4 voting with employees about new livery

Fri Jul 29, 2016 7:21 pm

So I was checking my Instagram feed and this comes up: Allegiant is voting with employees about a new livery.

Not much different from what they have now, A looks better of the two.

The first option definitely looks familiar, but I can't think which airline...

Nice to see them "doing any easyjet" with the whole voting thing!

Well, because the streamers are reminiscent of the ATA 25th Anniversary 757, I think that B looks more vacation-y while A looks more corporate. Depends upon which image G4 is going for these days: "Woo-hoo! Let's Party!" or "We will enjoy taking you from East Bumpkinville to your vacation destination in comfort and safety."

PS I like the Allegiant version better than the Alaska version. More inspired use of shape.

While A reminds me of Thai, I concede that competing with 150 different airlines for a totally unique look is difficult and its unlikely that the average G4 passenger will wonder if their plane is destined for Thailand.

I prefer choice "A" because I think forward \ (positive) and the airline moving forward to better days with an all Airbus fleet. Too many here on forum are negative about the MD-80 fleet and I believe Allegiant is moving positively towards less maintenance headaches\scares and more positive reviews; Except for the haters of course.

Option A reminds me of ValuJet's livery.
