Air New Zealand: Inflatable sex doll in the cockpit.

Tue Aug 23, 2016 10:57 pm

Thanks, Drudge...

Video and photos of an Air New Zealand pilot posing with an inflatable doll in the cockpit and an air hostess spitting water with the caption "wish I could spit on passengers like this" have been posted online.

Two things about this interest me.

Firstly, that the New Zealand Herald published something that shows Air New Zealand in a less than complimentary light. It sometimes seems that every other headline in that publication reads like "Air New Zealand brilliantly wins another bogus internet survey based award, and isn't Jetstar awful". Yawn.

Secondly, there is a small amount of irony here. Air New Zealand have relinquished much of their professionalism at the customer interface under the guise of being "friendly" or whatever, which was one of the reasons I abandoned them. Yet when a couple of staff members engage in some horseplay away from the customers (which albeit unfortunately makes its way onto the internet), all of a sudden words like "behaviour" "standards" and "professionalism" get sanctimoniously bandied about. This from an outfit that ran an advertising campaign using a puppet cracking *hilarious* (not) lines like "would you like to lick the crack" and "I love her bush".

If NZ gave me the inflight product and professionalism I have found on QF, I would come back - and I couldn't give a rat's what the crew members get up to out of sight to let off steam.

Otto Pilot's lady friend?

It certainly gives rise to the term cockpit.

Are you certain it wasn't just the autopilot activated?

Actually it's Otto Pilot 2016 reboot ala same 80s era Ghostbusters into the current all female leads.

Your job is customer service, you never do anything that can put the company in bad light.

The Pilot does not directly deal with passengers, so might just be a chat with the chief.

Position for the FA is abit more tricky.

rotfl.

That is the first thing I thought of was the movie Airplane. Ahhh... The classics. Perhaps she is there to ensure Otto is fully inflated?
