looks like N377AN (American 763ER) flew the Bears Sunday night from ORD to GRB ahead of their Thursday night match up with the Packers. Odd to see them go so early for a game that's right next door. Perhaps a "team building" thing on the road or something.

Seems highly unlikely that they would go so early. Any chance this was headed to GRB to pick up the Cowboys?

1 The Chicago Bears fly United, have for more than 40 years.

2. Green Bay is a Bus Trip, they fly back after the game.

Anyone know the reason that DL is using A333 vs B767 on their transcons? Seahawks flew a 333 to TPA last weekend and the Bucs are flying a 333 to SAN today. DL normally uses a B767 when the teams request a wide body.

Just be aware that equipment is subject to change. NE had a 333 flying out of BOS (instead of PVD) when they went to play the 49ers (flew into SFO and departed from SJC). SEA also used a 333 when they went to play NE, also flying into/out of BOS.

Hate to double post but can't edit my first post anymore... I think it's a combination of the following:
-DL is retiring the domestic GE-powered 763s. There are only 2 left (125 and 129) that IIRC retire in February (originally all were supposed to be gone by Oct 1st but that got pushed back)
-Slack in the fleet: 8 new 333s, 333/763ER routes shifting to 764

Better for the 333s/763ERs to be used on the transcons and 125/129 on the shorter routes.

Thank you and I agree. It looks like the A333 stayed on the ground in San Diego the whole time (Friday night to Sunday night). It ferried back to ATL at 0400 this morning versus waiting a few hours and doing a revenue flight. I'm guessing crew timing may have been an issue there.

Does Boeing, as marquee sponsor of the Seahawks, whom are also sponsored by Delta, have an issue with the 'hawks flying on Airbus equipment?

Why would they? Boeing has nothing to do with Delta transporting the team.

Looks like the Steelers flew PIT-BOS. Most teams fly into PVD when they play the Patriots.
