Singapore Airlines reported some surprisingly negative performance data in August 2016.
SQ - August 2016:
Passenger numbers: 1.6 million, -5.7% year-on-year;
Passenger load factor: 80.0%, -5.7 ppts;
- East Asia: 78.6%, -4.5 ppts;
- Americas: 83.5%, -4.5 ppts;
- Europe: 80.8%, -8.0 ppts;
- South West Pacific: 82.3%, -6.8 ppts;
- West Asia and Africa: 71.7%, -2.3 ppts;
Capacity (ASKs): -0.3%.
The cooperation SQ-LH should see a pay off on European services, but apparently isn't.
Or is it all EK, QR and EY's fault.
- SilkAir Loadfactor: Passenger load factor 71% -5.2 pts
- SCOOT: Passenger load factor 80.4% -4.8 pts
- Tigerair: Passenger load factor 82.2% -2.9 pts
- SQ Group: Passenger load factor 79.7% -5.2 pts
