I wonder what the next adds would be for B6 @ MCO? I believe that CLE, DTW, PIT aren't far off of the end of the bat.

About time B6 took this on, VX fares are through the roof. Legacy capacity is astonishingly high and absorbed F9 service very well. Any news on equipment???

PIT has been in the works for a few years now. Hopefully service to FLL is next (for the connections to destinations not served out of MCO). Other possibilities for service is SFO, PHX, or LAS.

In the near future don't look for B6 to put the Mint product in MCO.

Crazy crowded market. This makes 6 airlines on the route.

They could have had the unserved Portland-Orlando route. I wonder if they were originally planning that, but Alaska beat them to it.

Ashame, I'd use it. I see from the website they are introducing Mint to FLL. I know, different market.

How is legacy capacity shockingly high? Today there are five carriers operating LAX-MCO but with these low frequencies (speaking specifically of 9/26):

F9, 1x 319

UA, 1x 739

VX, 1x 320

AA, 1x 738

DL, 1x 738, 1x 757, 1x 739

That's an airport pair that may see some connections into out of LAX but is probably mostly O&D. That capacity doesn't seem at all excessive for the size of the metros at both ends.

AA operates up to 3x daily on this route. 2x most of the year.

Nothing that B6 isn't very accustomed to.

Look at how many airlines fly NYC/BOS/WAS - MCO/FLL.

Would love to see them go MCO-LAS twice a day (morning and evening).

Good for B6. Smart move on their part especially with VX/AS combining down the road.
LAX-MCO-LAX has always been a busy market. I believe DL has been the largest one on the route for a very long time. I remember the days, they were flying it with 2x daily L10s, then went to a mix of L10/762s. Once the 757s entered the market, the widebodies disappeared for the most part.

Great news for B6 FFers in Central Florida and Southern California. It's moves like this that really increase B6's appeal to Angelenos and Orlandoans, not niche additions like BUF or ORH. Sooner or later B6 has to suck it up and offer service to the highly competitive places that its hub market residents actually want (or need) to go.. I wonder if we could see additions like MCO-LAS/ORD/SFO in due course?
