As this news is almost 10 days old, I was somewhat surprised to see that this completely flew under the radar, and I didn't catch any threads on here, but if there was, feel free to delete. But alas, QR did not make near as big of a deal about the A380 upgrade to Sydney as they did when feuding over a one-off in ATL. Anyway, this marks the 4th destination for QR's A380 after LHR, CDG, and BKK. After dumping 3 daily A380's on Bangkok, maybe they started to come to their senses, and adopt an Etihad like strategy of flying it only on prestige routes. Nevertheless, JFK and LAX would logically be next, but with QR and AAB, you never know. I digress, but in the meanwhile, kudos to SYD for adding yet another 380 carrier, they're really sealing the gap between LHR and LAX!
