They are also starting Palermo - Málaga and Palermo - Corfu.

I am always quite surprised about those "sun to sun" routes.

BVA is quite surprising, however they don't mention anything about Paris, so they seem to be looking for the local traffic to Corsica, very popular for French tourists.

They even sale BVA as Beauvais-Rouen on their French site i/o Paris-Beauvais, saying that they target the population south of the new region "Hauts de France" (North + Picardy) up west to Vallée de Seine (Seine Valley i.e Rouen and East of Normandy)...

I am surprised they haven't started BGY in the same fashion. Maybe they could sell it as Bergamo-Brescia.

In any case, it is unbelievable the number of airports they serve in France, Italy and Greece.

The other day, VY in their new "strategy" said they would refocus on Spain-Italy-Greece, so it is clear that in the future V7+VY could give IAG a comfortable number of routes in France and Italy, where they don't have any hub.

The carrier will also announce on tuesday new services to Pau-Pyrénées, probably to Corsica or Spain.

Volotea do serve Bergamo, with summer flights to Lampedusa and Pantelleria. In the website booking engine sold as "Milan (BGY)", so a different sales strategy to BVA
