Comparing Service

Wed Feb 06, 2002 6:43 am

For those of you who travel extensively...which airlines do you generally prefer to fly? Within the United States? Overseas?

Who has the: Best service? Cleanest aircraft? Fewest delays? Least hassle when problems arise? Best vouchers when you are bumped? Least luggage problems?

Not necessarily looking for answers to everything above. Just some things to consider.

Within the USA: Never flown

Overseas: Singapore Airlines, Virgin Atlantic and to a lesser extent, EK.

I look for: Professionalism of staff, friendliness of staff, seat comfort, seat pitch, toilet cleanliness, quality of sanitary towels, quality of amenity kit, quality of socks, quality of toothbrush and toothpaste, quality of perfume (if available), quality of ground service (I don't expect much from this aspect though), quality of food, presentation of food, inflight entertainment variety and choice and finally, aircraft smell and cleanliness.
Anyone can fly, only the best Soar.

within the USA 1st choice Continental, then Southwest

I've been lucky over the years, can't complain to much other than Delta  Sad they always seem to get the gov't routes. Ciao

Within the USA, my first choices are America West and Delta. US Airways is not that bad either.

Since I've really only flown one airline in my life, I have to choose Delta.. I never once experienced a bad flight.. always had great service.
