Due to the events of Sept. 11th and the collapse of the Qualiflyer Group LOT Polish Airlines shelved its 1999-plans for the change of its corporate identity. In January 2001 I had the opportunity to present my designs at the head office in Warsaw as I was invited to join the corporate identity design competition. To show you a little bit of what I presented to them open this 484Kb-hotlink: http://www.webstudio.nl/liladesign/designillustrationsamples/view_alone.nhtml?profile=designillustrationsamples&UID=10053
ehhhh BD LOT for design 3 (you don't tell me you weren't inspired by the old British Midland livery)? BTW why the crown on the third design? It isn't a royal airline
My favorate is #2. #1 reminds me too much of the old-new Delta livery, and #3 looks too much like British Midland's previous one. Pity they did not go ahead with it...
Yeah I have to say that the 2nd one is the best.... if the LOT title was even larger... like the current one, which is pretty much their trademark, it would be perfect.
I also like the 2nd one the most, but I would change the engine color a little because one has blue engines, while the other had white engines. I would also try to incorporate a little more red into it because LOT is the national airline and the Polish flag is half red. Otherwise a great look.
I liked the #3 the second reminds me too much of Lufthansa, although i do like #2. #1 does look like Delta in a way. I don't see the similarity in #3 to USAirways, but as a UA guy I'm kind of particial to a darker color sceme.
The first one looks like TACA-Flot. The second one is not bad, but does not stand out enough, especially if in amongst other liveries at a major airport. The third one is not bad, although it does look a little BD-ish.
