Where is G4 currently sending the 757?

Hello all,

With Hawaii service now over, (I believe it is, correct me if I'm wrong) where is Allegiant sending the 757? They are supposed to be retired by early 2017. Are they being flown on any routes or are they only being used for things like sport charters for now? With the holiday season just about here I wondered if any routes would see them before they are phased out? Thanks a lot!

The frequently operate on CVG-LAS, also they have been on CVG-PGD/SFB.

HNL still has service from LAS on Allegiant scheduled until May 6, 2017.

Thank you very much. I thought HNL had been discontinued back in September.

I believe they are all out of LAS. I have seen them doing NCAA football charter work through CID for Iowa football.

Looking back a month or so at N902NV, N903NV, N905NV, and N906NV they've operated:

HNL-LAS
IND-LAS
SLC-LAS
GFK-LAS
AUS-LAS
CVG-LAS
MEM-LAS
MFE-LAS
ABQ-LAS.

...and some one off charters here and there.

I'm not seeing any Florida flights in my search, but it's off season there right now.

Last I heard, HNL service was going to continue one more summer. The schedule has only been loaded through May, so that's why you see it ending then. They worked out some sort of leaseback arrangement with whoever is purchasing the aircraft.

There was a HNL-ABQ charter a few days ago.. quite a nice long flight for the 757 in general.

G4's put the 757 on FWA-AZA and FWA-PGD during spring break season in the past because of Cubs spring training at AZA and the ever-strong popularity of Sarasota and Fort Myers from the area. Both routes usually see either the A319 or A320. FWA can handle a 757 very easily because the current concourse was built in the days of mainline legacy service - AA F100s to ORD, DL 732s to ATL, NW DC-9s to DTW, and US F100s to PIT.

At the same time, I wonder if the A321 would be a good fit for G4 on high-volume routes. Of course, not Hawaii, but routes where G4 has high demand. Knowing G4, I bet they would max out a used A321 with 230 seats and space-flex, which would be a good boost over their reconfigured and new-build 186-seat A320s.

The COO has mentioned they have no plans for the A321 but may consider it after 2020 when the fleet transition is complete.
