AA MIA-MID Cancellations
Looks like AA has been canceling MIA-MID all of November. Does anyone know why?

I would venture to suggest 1 of 2 things: 1) aircraft shortage or 2)Republic doesn't have authority to operate into Mexico.

YX has been operating into MTY and CZM for months, I think Republic has authority there. Maybe the route is not doing well?

It's not Slot controlled but you do need to apply with the Mexican government for a take off and landing "slot" as part of the license for a particular route
As this was a transfer from AA to republic, it's technically a new carrier, and as such requires a new application.
I have seen these applications take months sometimes.
When in doubt, hold on to your altitude. No-one has ever collided with the sky.

This is not the first time AA has fumbled with slot issues. I believe the ORD-PEK flight was cancelled the first day of service because they had not secured the slots needed to fly the route.
