Correct, on their fleet of 737-700s

I think with this announcement, AA and Ryanair are left as the largest 737 fleets that hasn't begun installing scimitars.

I thought that I read that on here too and that they stopped installing on their new 738's.
With the classics leaving, I'm surprised this is something they'd be doing right now...with the assumption they don't have a lot of slack in the fleet.

Must have just been a rumor on here as that is what I saw too.
If WN is adding them on the 73G's, I'm surprised there hasn't been a press release by APB about them as hundreds of aircraft would be a significant order.
In looking at the 2014 press release regarding the 738 order for them, it states the retrofits were supposed to have been completed in 2015. So if there are still 738's without them, there must have been something that slowed down this process.

Many WN 738s already have scimitars. I was under the impression that the rest are destined to become equipped with them.
Is there a specific reason why AA has been reluctant to put scimitars on its 737s?

That wasn't the first. Where did you get that incorrect info?
969 has been flying with scimitars for months!

I just don't get why people continue to post things without fact checking. Just curious what source said 555 was the first A/C to be equipped.

Wonder why they would not pick a frame that was due to receive the new livery and do the scimitar install and repaint at the same time?

From what I remember it was that they were underwhelmed in the fuel burn improvement. Because of that they chose to scrap the retrofit plans since the ROI would be too long to be worth it and only add them to new builds or aircraft that never had any winglets to begin with. It appears that they now have a way to make the retrofits more cost efficient or got a really good deal on retrofit kits to increase the ROI.

N969WN
N555LV

N7748A
N267WN
There are likely more. One other thing to note, it's likely these are being done when the aircraft is on its 6Y,8Y, etc checks which are in between painting intervals. WN planes get paint every 6-7 years.
