EK187/188 DXB-BCN/BCN-DXB changed?

Fri Dec 23, 2016 5:46 pm

According to Flightradar24, Emirates flight EK187/188 has been replaced by the Boeing 777 from the A380. But I heard no sign of changes at all. Could anyone tell me if there is a changes please. This has been changed to 77W since 21 December 2016.

The best plane I've flown is an A380. They were the biggest and the best than other plane I've been on.

Yup that's true. EK187/188 has been replaced by the B777. EK website is showing that in January '17, both flights (EK185 & 187) will be operated by the B777

Singapore Airlines has also reduced seats to BCN recently.

It seems a leisure destination like BCN cannot handle so many seats to ME/Asia, specially in low season.

i dont think that its a "season" problem
I was on this flight on november and the load factor was high above 90% for sure, (at least economy)
Many Spanish people travel from October-March because spain is a tourism destination

A380 is back later in March on both flights.. nothing to do with loads... the reason is works/maintenance on the main runway during January and February.. so many airlines have to cancel or reduce... all back to normal in March...

Singapore Airlines cancelled flight to Sao Paulo which was routed via Barcelona, so now Barcelona is still on 5t weekly via Milan..

Lan Peru just started Lima from Barcelona, all US airlines going strong and many new flights in 2017 to start...

For Emirates check schedules and you will see both flight son A380 in March...

On top of that, SQ is swapping the B777 for a A350. Newer and fancier aircraft but far less seats.

You can paint it as you want, but they have (heavily) reduced capacity.[/quote]

No announcement yet... when and if they do... they may make it non stop BCN-SIN without the MXP stop, so it will be a gain... but let's wait for the announcement..

yes.... from mid december 25R/07L runway is closed so, the A380 of the morning has to land in 25L/07R runway but, at night the runway for landing in BCN is the 02 due to the noise so the A380 can't land with bad weather in the 02 runway because is shorter than the others...
