The press release from when the order was first announced had a modified livery with 2 wavy lines.

They were probably sure enough it would be firm. BTW American's orders were the A319s wasn't firmed untill the aircraft was delivered (via lessors)

The article say "With the exception of one freighter, all 747s have already been grounded for some time, with the 747SPs being the last ones to retire in 2016.", but as I understand, their 747SP service is now resumed and is flying to Beijing and KUL?
