Can we compile a list of routes served by domestic wide bodies inside of the lower 48-- by airline?

Yes AA flies a scheduled 787 daily between ORD-DFW. Today 12/11/16 AA 335 DFW-ORD is a 787-9 so the return flight AA 2375 will be the -9.

Living near EWR,

EWR-HNL
EWR-IAH are both 764 sometimes. Usually are 2 class 763

ORD-EWR
EWR-ORD are sometimes both 3 class 763.

SFO-EWR
EWR-SFO Are usually 2 772 a day, both 3 class

The SJU flights are either the new config or the "domestic, hawaii"

I will be on one of the DEN flights, a 772 in domestic config.

In the summer, EWR-LAX gets widebodies. For two weeks was a 789, got on one of them.
The rest of summer was a 3 class 772.

I have noticed UA 787 on LAX-SFO sometimes. also last year i flew DTW-LAS on a 767-300 on DL, dont know if it is still operated with that aircraft.

YES! Personally I think it's a great thread! I will certainly look for wide bodies out of EWR on UA after reading this... It's one time a regional upgrade might actually work, plus the price difference between Y and "F" is not so bad. I flew the DEN-EWR last Friday and it was only $200 more for a bed seat. If a client is covering the expense, it's worth it for sure. In fact I am hoping that with more and more 787's coming into the fleet I will see even more domestic WB service from EWR.

I wonder, once all the 787's and A350's show up if p.s. will go to a 767? Or is that just too much capacity v the 757?

I'm booked on a DL 763 on Dec 30th. PDX-MSP route. Seems to be the last day of it then it's back to a narrowbody. Holiday seasonal.

Things the A.net community must know through this thread:

1) Possible future, possible terminating, or existing domestic widebody routes, by IATA/ICAO Code, and aircraft operated with. (For example, DL KJFK-KSFO, 767-300er)

2) If domestic wide bodies will continue to be a thing of the future, as more a320/21 (CEO/NEO), 738/9 and cs300 will be joining many USA-Fleets.

3) Any 5th-freedom flights originating or departing the USA that utilize wide bodies. (TAM Cancelled the 767-300er 76w KJFK-KYYZ not too long ago)

4) Changes to schedules involving domestic wide bodies, substitutions, one-off's, charters, or scheduled services operated by widebodies.

Also:

Please comment routes operated by domestic widebodies, so we can compile a list!

What about for AA and DFW-LAX?

As for Delta, ATL-LAX, ATL-SFO, JFK-LAX, JFK-MCO, and occasionally ATL-MSP.

United uses both classic UA 772s (international) and ex-CO 772s on LAX and SFO to EWR.

Hawaiian is HA, not HI. There is no listing for an airline with the code HI in the US.
