Help! Identify Airline By Upholstery Pattern

Sat Feb 04, 2017 4:56 am

I need help identifying the airline that utilized this upholstery pattern. Based on this pic, can anyone tell me which airline this is? I've skimmed through cabin pics but have had no luck. Anyone recognize it?

Thanks!

Search for A330 reg A6-EYW. Think it was originally ETIHAD but now Alitalia. Was sporting that seat pattern at least while it was with ETIHAD. I fly ETIHAD a lot and have never seen that pattern, so tracing the linearage of that frame further might give you a complete answer.

EDIT: Looks like it was a lease from ILFC. Old seats ~10 years ago from a frame that was not fitted out by ETIHAD themselves. Was definitely used in J, not sure about Y.

This trip report posted on a.net in November 2005 has more photos of the cabin that show a matching upholstery pattern: viewtopic.php?t=956207

A6-EYW first entered service as C-GGWC with now-defunct Canada 3000 before being taken up by Italy's Volare Airlines in 2002, much like its three other sister ships C-GGWA/B/D - which all sported a different upholstery pattern prior to their time with Volare: https://www.airliners.net/photo/Canada-3 ... -202/96277.

GGWC and WD went on to Etihad in 2005, then to AirOne in 2008 and eventually Alitalia in 2009, when the two airlines merged. They are still in service with the Italian carrier, although the cabins have since been completely refurbished.
