Re: Remaining AA MD-80 Routes

I recently booked ANC-LAX-TUS-DFW, with the TUS-DFW leg on an MD-80, in July.
I booked it specifically for that MD-80 flight.
But I see that, at least today, it's all 738's.
Do you guys think I've been had?
I hope not. I booked the window seat in the last row before the aft galley (which, admittedly, is less galley than it used to be).

PIT-ORD is being served by an MD80 at random times during the week, not sure when that started.

Did you book for a Saturday? I have noticed for ORD that the MD80 is only running on Saturday's to/from TUS. Could be the same with DFW.
Did you know that a Boeing 717-200 is really a McDonnell Douglas MD95-30? ;-)

All MD80 routes will touch ORD/DFW until the end. Out stations will disappear quickly. But given where they are routed, DEN/DTW/MSP/RDU/STL will be some of the last destinations.

No, it's on Monday, July 3... Fingers crossed!
If I get stuck in a workaday 738, I'm gonna cry. Loudly.
But not loudly enough to be removed from the airplane by law enforcement. Oh wait, wrong airline.

I find it remarkable that N954U is still active. A unique history of the remaining fleet. Wish I could add this one to my logbook . Enroute on ORD-SAN as I'm typing this.

That makes perfect sense to me.
