Me too, especially their take on the Gin Fizz.
....now if only we could do something about them constantly pronouncing the city "Or-leenz." Ugh.SunsetLimited wrote:3/27 will be a great day indeed for New Orleans and the entire Gulf South region.
Amen to that.

Plenty of ways, but that's easily the most annoying one, to local Louisianians... unless you're using it to rhyme verses in a song (e.g. "What it means, to miss New Orleans.")
Otherwise, by farrrrr the most common is "OR-linz" (pronounced like lens, pins, grins, etc)
Another is "OR-lee-ANZ" (like the name Ian, with an "s" at the end)
And then there's the ever-present, rarer, and almost equally-annoying "N'awlins" that everyone who's not from there, seems to believe we say. The overwhelming majority don't. That's right up there with "Frisco"... which I've quickly learned that no one who's actually from SFO uses.
