Do you happen to know what the timelines are for the rest of the conversions (and how many are left?)? I'm wondering because it looks like the utilization of the 772 fleet is really low for the planned summer schedule. The only routes that have the 247-seat 772s with F are DFW-FRA, MIA-SCL, and MIA-MXP (plus a repositioning flight each way between DFW and MIA). That should only require 4-5 frames to operate. The 289-seat 772s are planned for LAX-GRU, LAX-NRT, LAX-HND, DFW-EZE, DFW-FCO, DFW-NRT (x2), MIA-EZE, MIA-GRU, MIA-GIG, MIA-MAD, MIA-BCN, and MIA-CDG. That schedule requires 20 aircraft. There are 34 772s in these two configurations, so it seems that 9-10 frames are spare and/or available to get modded.

The 13 260-seat 772s are fully utilized: 12 out of 13 frames required to operate DFW-LHR, RDU-LHR, JFK-EZE, JFK-GIG, JFK-LHR (x3), JFK-BCN, and JFK-FCO.

Thanks for any info!

I do not know the timeline of the remaining 777 conversions. But according to this site https://sites.google.com/site/newameric ... -777-200er it looks like there are only 10 remaining 777s to be reconfigured.

It appears that a 763 has been pulled back into service after being stored. This aircraft replaces a/c 345 that was retired early due to uncontained engine failure/fire in KORD / OCT 2016

Does that make it 30 frames remaining in the fleet through the summer, or is the fleet site behind with retirements?

31. 7x old cabin (incl. 1 in old paint). 24x new cabin. there is a constant rotation of 2x in TUL plus the at station maintenances so I doubt they'll be lining up a full daily schedule of 31 aircraft through the summer schedule.

I believe the summer schedule requires 25 or 26 frames.

#377 has become my favorite 767 because she's immediately identifiable as the only 767 left in bare metal.

AA is getting close to completing the 772 fleet refurbishments - hard to believe given how long and drawn out the process has been.

No less than 18 months from now (late 2018.)

When is AA going to announce the reconfig of the A330s? I would have thought as the B772s reconfigs are winding down, the A330s would start?
Also, when are they going to standardize the A321s (non transcon) and reconfig the A320s? AA really seems to be dragging their feet on these! They hopped on the A319 quick enough.

Just the covers...underneath they are the same seats. It is kind of crazy how AA won't put MCE on planes that fly CLT-SEA and LAX-PHL

According to planespotters.net N374AA (c/n 25201 l/n 437) is stored. It dates from 1992.

Yes that was strange that both FlightAware and Flightradar24 showed that registration number flying from ROW to BFM this morning as AA9664. Must have been a mistake by both websites.

The aircraft was stored at ROW and 9664 is a non-revenue repo flight number for LAA equipment so its not out of the question but I don't know why the aircraft would be returned to service out of those that were still stored.

This I believe is the 3rd or 4th stored 767 that has been moved by AA to BFM in the past month or so.

Apparently there is a modification available for all of their A321s (even the PMUS ones from the early 2000s), though the older aircraft up to I believe ship 542 require extensive wing work. Ships 543 and above should be able to receive the "plug-n-play" modification.
