Thomas Cook Airlines new flight and cabin crew uniform

Tue Mar 14, 2017 8:08 am

Thomas Cook Airlines today launched a new uniform for both flight and cabin crew. The holiday airline gave passengers a sneak preview on board an A321 in Manchester last week, take a look!

So a female pilot wears the same tie as a male flight attendant, but a male pilot wears a plain black tie? How strange.

And insignia for flight attendants strikes me as very US carrier circa-1990.

Hmmm surely a mistake? And is that lady at the end a flight attendant wearing a tie, or and FO? Equality in the cabin but not the flight deck - or am I being harsh?

Really dull, why bother? AZ has dont do much right, but along with EY, they have some awesome uniforms. Credit to DL, KE, BA, QF some of th best. And dear old NZ for ugly but different.

Some airlines have multiple ties for their pilots to choose from.

What "lady at the end ... wearing a tie..."? Do you mean the person on the far left on the top photo? I'm pretty sure that's a male F/A.

The bit that puzzled me was them 'delighting unsuspecting passengers'.

Surely a bit OTT.

Seems to me they are going for a more conservative professional look rather then a holiday charter type of look. I wonder if the shop staff will also get new uniforms or keep the same as the current cabin crew now. AFAIK its the same for staff in shops and cabin crew on TCX or at least similar.
