ARFF vehicle at Atlanta I-85 bridge fire

There appeared to be an ARFF vehicle helping fight the I-85 bridge fire in Atlanta:

I can't say I've ever seen ARFF being used in this capacity.

Indeed there were two trucks deployed according to the local media. They made small work out of the PVC fire where the conventional AFD had their hands full. To quote one newscaster last night "This is so serious, they've brought in two critical trucks from Hartsfield." This is going to be a mess, in a city that struggles with traffic on a sunny day.

ATL is so over capacity with ARFF, they could afford to divert a couple of trucks to the bridge fire. And, It's a testament to how well foam works against fire.

Btw, how does a thread with 8 views make it to the top of "Right Now in the Forum" on the front page?
