Saudia (SV) 77Fs stored ?

Hi !

I tried to track Saudia's 77Fs but they don't seem to have flown in about a month or so now. Any info ? Update ?

The 747s aren't flying also at least AI3 and AI4 they are parked at RUH airport

From local sources i have the following :

Leases for both the 77Fs and 748Fs are to high and SV decided to stop operating them and return them back to lessors . Already the pilots for the 747s have been relocated to 77Ws .

Although public sites have little to none about the ownership of these aircraft there are indeed leased (sorry i'm not allowed to reveal the owner) .

Talks are still ongoing for the 77Fs to reduce lease payments for more 6 months . SV stopped paying and the aircraft were grounded

Just to clarify myself i just type what some very credible people in the past told me .

The MyCargo Airlines 747 fleet is flying for Saudia Cargo.

In other words, another cargo operator is about to ditch its dedicated freighter fleet.
What we leave behind is not as important as how we've lived.

They were originally purchased by the Saudi Ministry of Finance (or at least that's what the Boeing Customer code indicates) which is the same owner as most of the recent 77Ws for SV. Seems a bit odd to take delivery and fly them for a while and then just park them.

This dispute is also affecting new 787 deliveries owned by MOF and leased to the airline . 77Ws also owned by the MOF are at risk . No grounding plans have been announced yet though

The deal is far more complicated . Many foreign companies involved and they are not only banks . SV is owned by the Government but they have contracts with several management/consulting firms .

Again there is some stuff i can't reveal in order someone to understand the nature of this dispute . Just remember the Government must win in both sides of the coin regardless who's involved

Looks like at least HZ-AK73 and HZ-AK74 are back in service. FR24 showed both of them flying today.

In March I saw two different SVA B777F's at Narita, both coming from Male. So, at least two were operational back then.

The 77F are still inactive, one did a uncheduled flight to Moscow recently, 748F are gone.

HZ-AK72 has flown, since Sunday, RUH-HKG-RUH-JED-CDG- and is now flying over the Alps on a south-east heading, probably returning to either JED or RUH.

Does anybody know some news about their 748Fs? Are they still grounded or have they been returned to the lessor? Flightradar24.com doesn't show any flights for them:
