BA 763 at LAS?

Tue May 16, 2017 9:30 am

Landed in LAS yesterday and saw a BA 763 sitting isolated from the terminal, it was still there as of this evening... anyone know what it's doing there?

Sure it was a BA 767? Not a single one is showing up being anywhere near LAS - http://thebasource.com/jettracker.html

Me thinks LAX772LR would know what a BA 763 looks like. :D I would like to know what it was doing there as well.

Quite sure, since even at a distance I could see the extended-cowling engines: meaning that there's nothing else it could be.

I'm flying out tomorrow, if it's still there, I'll snap a pic.

It's sitting facing away from the airport, parallel to the runways that are not by the strip, far from the terminal.

It's OpenSkies 767-300 F-HILU. Operated SNN-KEF-SFO on 12 May as BA8027, then SFO-LAS on 14 May as EC8032 and is still on the ground in LAS.

Ah, thanks.

Any idea who they're flying this for?

I saw her on the 12th and I had to do a double take. She was parked next to a company 747-400. My first thought was maybe EC was doing a flight for WOW, but shortly after I saw her being towed over to the United Maintenance area and as another poster mentioned above, she didn't leave for 2 days after that.

Looks like it wasn't a BA 767 :) Easy mistake to make though.

Saw her on Sunday and had strobe lights on around the maintenance area where G4 used to park. Eerie feeling since company B772 was just there last year.

Still there as of 7pm this evening.

Still curious as to whom this flight is on behalf of.

While standing on the beach at Pacifica on Sunday, we saw it fly overhead after it left SFO, and turn south. I checked PlaneFinder and realised immediately it was an Openskies 767, but PlaneFinder would not reveal destination. Odd visitor to SFO. The mystery deepens somewhat!
I only turn left when boarding aircraft. Well, mostly. All right, sometimes. OH OKAY - rarely.
