Peruvian Airlines

Mon May 29, 2017 2:58 pm

So I had a question about the status of Peruvian Airlines. I know they recently had a crash and being a sucker for older aircraft, I was looking into trying to fly them when I flew Lima-Cuzco. I wanted to see if I could catch a 737-200 for the first and likely last time in my life. Does anyone know what routes the -200s in their fleet usually fly on and what is the status of the airline as of right now?

Come over to Venezuela and you are guaranteed a ride on the 732, as well as MD80s and Fokker50s...

Funny, I'm also going to be in Peru soon and I too was looking at Peruvian's Lima-Cusco service. According to what I found it seems that they use a mix of 300's and 400's on that route, not the 200.

Why don't contact airline customer service? They could help with you for booking flights.

Star Peru on the BAe 146 is a pretty unique ride between Lima and Cuzco as well. A 4-holer with 3-3 seating on an RJ is not something you see much of anymore. They pass out a decent snack as well.

I suspect they may just operate as subs now, The best way is to ask the airline if they have any schedules still going, they are in excellent condition and beautifully presented - I loved to fly Peruvian, for a shorthaul flight they give you more than most airlines these days. I have flown the 737-200 (OB-1839-P - now retired) of Peruvian on LIM-CUZ as P9 220,

Star Peru have 146-100/-200s on LIM-CUZ as well. They are worth a return sector on too as they are 28-30 years old themselves
