Why leave it with the 737?

Even below max landing weight (MLW), with a contaminated, un-grooved surface, that aircraft can approach the limits on a 2km runway. Poor braking action coupled with a failure to plant it firmly down within a few hundred feet of the TDZ is typically the cause for an overrun in a heavy downpour. A mystery (gust) tailwind component can seal the deal. Just ask Air France. Or these guys, apparently, as this is not their first trip around the merry go round.

On the other hand, the King Air could have stopped in that distance using beta range alone. Sounds like they were fortunate overall.

Seems like a write-off, 29 y/o 733 with a collapsed nose gear doesn't warrant to repair it.
Many happy landings, greetings from The Netherlands!
