Looking at UA on SFO-SIN the typical "in air time" is ~15hr 30min. or less. Extrapolating this out to LAX-SIN gives 16hr 15min. For 249 seats the payload will be about 27.4t, TOW at 251.4t (MTOW 254011kg) So on most days they will be able to do it without blocking seats at takeoff.[/quote]
Thanks for that great information. Hopefully that will set all the naysayers straight on its capabilities. 789 is an absolute machine and this is exactly the type of route it was built for.
