Ikr, it feels like it was yesterday when the deal was first announced. Time flies.

DHL (US operators) have a bunch operating out of CVG, they are quite the sight! I only wish more airlines in the US ordered them. Too bad FedEx will not operate any, though, I do hope Amazon Prime Air considers a large order, they are growing rapidly and are going to need airplanes with longer range and higher capacity than their 767's.
I believe this was the first 748 for a US airline (N853GT): https://www.jetphotos.com/photo/8172644

UPS changed their logo to the flat version a few years ago (as is the current logo trend, with the old gradient logo looking very early 00s). It will eventually be on the 744F fleet, I believe some of UPS's other planes have it now. The titles look the same to me, just missing the "Synchronizing the world of commerce" titles.

Makes me wonder why they went to so much trouble keeping it under wraps?!?
Any idea why?!?

They didn't keep it under wraps. They tweeted the photos when painting was done. Previous photos were from the middle of painting so the plane was wrapped up as part of the painting process.
