And yet that's what LH and IB are doing.

Perhaps the highest density so far for a 'main' carrier. French Blue has 411 seats in their A359 and Air Caraibes has 389.

Nope, Air Caraïbes features 389 seats and FrenchBlue will have 411 seats.
mat66 wrote:It is the highest density of any 9 abreast configuration. Assuming those 31C are in front of door 2, there are a lot of seats cramped in between door 2 and 4. The 24 PE are real premium economy of probably 3 rows of 8 taking up space of 4 rows of 9 economy. If you add these theoretical 36 to 293Y you get 329. More than Finnair's new configuration (304), LATAM (309) or Ethiopian (318) or anyone else fit in that space at 9 abreast.
I really wonder how they do it. 29"-30" pitch? Is the new aft lav/galley thing available for the A359 in 2018? Even then...very tight.

Because IB needs more seats at EZE,MEX,BOG,etc......with 3 daily flights ........a A35K in IB configuration is near 390 seats.
julianrv wrote:LATAM A350 is also 348 in total (30J/18Y+/300Y) but while they lack a real Premium Economy up to row 21 there's extra legroom. IB A330-200 config fits 269 in Y with 8-abreast so I think with same legroom they should be able to fit 300 with 9-abreast plus the 3 rows of Premium Economy.

This means 15 seats less in Business but 17 seats more in Economy/Premium Economy for a final balance of +2 seats.
Not bad as a 1:1 replacement, with a more realistic number of saleable Business seats.
The A359 cant be a A346 replacement.....IB needs another type of plane.....A350-1000 or B777-9X

Must be that IB is going 9 abreast in Y and not 10 like Air Caraibes (3-4-3). French Blue has a 3-3-3 layout in Y but only two classes of service hence the higher total count.

French Blue is also 3-4-3 (quite logic they are as dense as Air Caraïbes since they are supposed to be their low cost arm)

I'm sorry but I'm only seeing 2 daily flights to EZE and MEX, and only one to BOG. I don't think they need that much capacity.
