And already a sign is up at the airport. Not sure what time is the announcement but Allegiant rep is here at 5:30am.

Just checked today’s flight, appears to be the standard 330-300. Would be great to see the A340 make an appearance though!!!

A reminder of new airline start dates

TPA - Contour Airlines starts on Dec 19 (not sure if CLT flights start on Dec 8)
PIE - Flair Airlines starts on Dec 17
SRQ - Frontier starts on Dec 10



I'm seeing 3 new cities on F9s SRQ pulldown....might mean nothing. After all, I've been seeing ATL-TPA and ATL- RSW for over 2 months !

Snap a pic of those AOG?

31 flights scheduled for Dec 30th. Then average about 25 a day through mid Feb. Things ramp up in mid Feb, and shouldn't slow down. The legacy carries will cut back in April, but Allegiant bases an aircraft at SRQ starting in early April. So I would expect 30% monthly traffic increases for the remainder of 2019.

Piccolo stated that January should be around 40% increase. And yes I hope someone took some photos of all this traffic!

I live on final approach to 32 and the increase in traffic is very apparent. Very cool to see so many mainline birds going in and out recently.

So I’m not sure if this is the first time Delta had 4 aircraft at gates in SRQ, but figured I would take a pic. Not really a good pic, but I thought it was pretty cool. I had seen 3 at gates and one taxiing, so seeing a 4th at gate B8 was a surprise as that’s the international gate and I have never seen a commercial aircraft there. Even with new gates being put in they didn’t use B8. Not sure next time there will be a chance to see 4 at the same time after Jan 1.
