I hardly think this is major expansion. Most of the increased frequencies are on A320s (about 4-5 daily). There are also some down gauges in capacity

The 787-8 seems like it should be more permanent than temporary at BOS. It's a better-sized aircraft for that route, IMO. I'm not sure but DOH-BOS might be their longest flight with that plane.

I m quite suprise, that they use A330 to Kigali. QR suspended flights in July & August 2017 to Kigali. According to some newspapers, Kigali has been contributing 40 and 60 passengers to the service during low and peak seasons respectively. Flights were operated with an A320, daily . About Entebbe, i read that load factor to Entebbe was over 80% , in 2014 (but since Etihad started to serve EBB & RwandAir has added service to Asia & Europe)

http://www.routesonline.com/news/29/bre ... expansion/

Although the distance between Doha and Entebbe is well within the 6,100km range of the A320, Qatar upgraded the service to an A330-200 but dropped the Kigali leg.

While officials at Qatar’s office said they were not authorised to speak beyond the contents of the statement, sources in the travel industry said the carrier would be launching a stand-alone service to Kigali.

The carrier launched the Kigali service in March 2012 after securing fifth freedom rights between Entebbe and Kigali. These were however subsequently lost after Rwanda stopped reciprocating them.

According to sources in the travel industry, Kigali has been contributing 40 and 60 passengers to the service during low and peak seasons respectively.

The numbers for the peak season mean the airline would be close to the breakeven point of 75 passengers on the A320 if it chose to launch a separate service to Kigali.

I know that Qatar Airways is deploying A320s on brand new routes to East Europe, they have flown for British Airways, Royal Air Maroc, during the summer and now to rescue some Monarch pax stranded . And with the suspension of flights in the Gulf region, they need to fly aircraft. But Dar Es Salaam still serving by A320s

Is the announced DOH-GIG-SCL not happening for the time being?
Keep calm and wash your hands.

DOH-BOS is indeed their longest 787 route. The type doesn't have crew bunks so they have to block 3 business class for crew rest. The 350s, 777s and 380s all have crew bunks for both pilots and cabin crew.
