Will this affect flights to the UK ? (apparently N.I./Belfast is expected to be affected)

ORK and KIR will get the brunt of this. SNN is less isolated. DUB region should be ok.

Windy.com has the hurricane path.

Scotland and northwest England in the path too. I expect problems at GLA, PIK, EDI and possibly ABZ.

I don't know whats more bizarre, that there's a hurricane in Ireland and Britain, or that someone decided to call it "Orphelio".

Someone gives a hurricane a Shakespearean name and it decides to head towards the British Isles.

It seems there are also wind alerts for tomorrow in Northern Portugal and Galicia in NW Spain which is the closest area in Continental European to the hurricane. Also there are wildfires all about the place, so this could have some impact in airports.

Apparently this hurricane has risen temperatures well above what is normal for this time of the year in that part of the Iberian Peninsula. It was almost 35 Celsius (!) in parts of Northern Spain and Porto today, which is unheard of by this time of October.
