Runway 24R was closed and under construction.
Is there a reason why the go around was directed north? This is something I have never seen before.

LAX Go Around (OCT 14) Fiji Airways
On Saturday, October 14th, I was around LAX when I noticed the Fiji A330 throttle up and begin climbing while it was much further north of the approach path than I have ever seen.
Runway 24R was closed and under construction.
Is there a reason why the go around was directed north? This is something I have never seen before.

He was approaching 24L, so he wouldn't be directed into the south complex traffic....
