It apears that the Malaysian Government has agreed to fund a US seabed exploration company to resume the search for 9M-MRO. Media reporting indicates that Malaysia has notified families of the 239 passengers and crew from MH370 that it is negotiating the terms for the search with US company Ocean Infinity, which has offered to look for the aircraft on a no-find, no-fee basis.
The earlier joint Malaysian, Australian and Chinese search was suspended in January 2017.
