MEL Spotter Alert : UL Inaugural CMB-MEL

Sun Oct 29, 2017 3:59 pm

To those of you in and around MEL, the first SriLankan flight from CMB to MEL lands in MEL on 30th Oct at 1525L. The first flight is expected to operate with an A330-300 and is the first time a regular scheduled air service takes place between Sri Lanka and Australia after 16 years. It also marks UL's return to MEL after nearly 24 years.

The service will be served daily from inception and UL becomes the sixth oneworld carrier to serve MEL. The MEL-CMB leg will be 10h50min, making it one of the longer (though not the longest by several hours - a distinction that goes to DOH) flights out of MEL.

Hey guys,
Have the flights been well-publicised?
I hope that they expand Australian services to cover Sydney again.
