From my experience everywhere I go is there are more yellow than any other scheme. I think the white and gray are becoming few and far between. I was in MCO the other day, 5 planes all yellow. I landed at DFW the other night with a lot of RON planes. 8 planes total I think I counted. All yellow except 1, they’ll all be gone soon folks.

I was on 618 the other day, not only white, but full galley in the back(178 seat config) yeah that config will be gone soon too

Now that the neos are flying again, what routes/flights do they do? Are they deployed on specific routes or are they used interchangeably with the standard A320s?

They are currently routed just like every other A320. The only NEO specific route will be the seasonal FLL-SEA starting in a couple weeks.

Although all the NEOs are flying now, it’s just a luck of the dice whether they will actually fly a particular flight or not.

The NEOs are out flying their flights and more often than not, something happens that requires a ferry flight to Dallas and another engine change. It’s the new NEO normal. Between the five aircraft over the last 18 months since the NEOs entered service (with two NEOs being out of service for almost nine months) there have been 24 engine changes, with the last engine change being done on 902 at the end of March last week.

Unfortunately it’s the passengers who are the most affected when their flight is cancelled due to an unreliable engine.

You can track 514 going to paint Friday night NKS8514 dfw-bfm with 509 come out of paint Saturday morning NKS8509 bfm-dfw.

Slowly fading away...remember the old DC-9/MD-80 livery? Flashback time!

The Pixel livery looked best on the old Mad Dogs

And as long as we're talking about Spirit's Mad Dog fleet, we might as well flash back to its original look!

What is the current repaint status for the A319 group? Even in late 2018 I'm surprised to see the gray chromatic scheme.

I saw a pixel livery last week. I can’t remember if it was in MSY or DFW! I lose track lol.

The pixel livery sure is cool but I imagine it’s expensive. The yellow isn’t too bad either imo. The whites with blue tails were boring though.

I noticed a few recent repaints into the taxicab livery that NK is no longer painting Home of the Bare Fare on the nacelles and sharklets and has replaced it with Spirit.com on some aircraft.

There are two different yellow schemes now.

The new planes coming from Airbus still have the old yellow scheme.
The planes being repainted now have the new yellow scheme. The main difference is that the letters are solid black with the spirit.com instead of the stripes of yellow in the lettering and “home of the bare fare” on the nacelles.

Hey I thought I'd bump this thread... does anyone know how many A319s are left flying around in the digital or "pixel" livery? There can't be that many left flying around. I caught N531NK this past Saturday and it's still flying around in old colors.

Bare Fare taxicab paint has been cleaned up...no more "scratched" lettering, or "Bare Fare".... So technically, it's 4 schemes.

Nine of the A319 aircraft are still in the pre-2007 livery: N517NK, N522NK-N524NK, N527NK-N529NK, N531NK, N532NK. Interestingly. all the A319 aircraft that had been in the 2007 colors have already been repainted into the current livery.

AS of mid-November, all these remaining A319 aircraft have been repainted, so the pixel livery is no more.
