The airline will start flying as Wizz Air Turkey.
Initially, 5 A320's will be based in the country - up to 10 by mid-2018.

Interesting indeed.
The most logical thing would be to target Eastern European tourism in Antalya or Bodrum. Domestic and Istanbul seems too competitive with TK/PS.

I am not sure what Wizz is buying. Borajet has been shut down and largely liquidated since early 2017.
There are host of lawsuits in Turkey and UK over the airline, and now even criminal case and arrest warrant for its former owner living in Boston.

I'm under the impression that the former owner died recently hence why this is happening.

Does Turkey have a limit of 49% foreign ownership in airlines? Why else would W6 be content with not being in full control by having less than 50%? Does Hungarian count as foreign in Turkey, or merely north-Turkish? 
Who would own the other 51% if the previous owner is, supposedly, dead, or at least wanted? And what is the legal status of BoraJet? Liquidated? In the equivalent of US Chapter 11 receivership?....

If it could get more than 49% it presumably would. Most countries have that as a limit.
