No explanation as to how the firearm "accidentally" made it into the lunch box?

If you "accidentally" pack a gun in your lunchbox, you aren't fit for the job to screen passengers and baggage to ensure a safe aviation system.
Experience is what you get when what you thought would work out didn't!

Give me ham on 5, hold the mayo and i'll have a side order of Glock.

How does anyone manage this ? Lunch time at the TSA must be brutal :rotfl:

A friend of mine (in private industry) had a teenage son who after an argument, secretly hid a thrusting sword in the bottom of his dad's duffel. The following day it was discovered at bag search much to his amazement and embarrassment of the 'ole man. It created a little excitement to be certain. Anything can happen.

At my company showing up for work with a gun gets you fired immediately.

At least you could conceal the evidence quickly.

Same! I do this daily. The other day my katana found its way into my backpack.

As a former gun owner, if you "accidentally" pack a gun in your lunchbox, you aren't fit to own the gun.

The real question is what did he put in his gun case?

I'm sure upon getting caught a lot of people "accidentally" did a bunch of things.

Can't believe someone can even accidentally put a gun in their lunch box. How absent minded are people these days?

What did the person plan to do with the gun if not caught?

Such hypocrisy -

Last month a pilot was taken away in handcuffs for exactly the same offense. But when the TSA makes such an egregious error - "no charges were filed".

Ha, saying at airport is: "Should something happen, run to the TSA, those gang-bangers are better armed than any cops."

Get me Ham on 5, hold the mayo.

I was watching Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy the other day for some reason. In the final episode when Ford and Arthur are taken prisoner on the Golgafrincham spaceship they are held at gun point by one of the bridge officers. The Captain remarks that officer will be happy because he always wanted to have prisoners. The officer handed his gun to Ford so he could pat him down and took back his gun after he was finished. Then he did the same thing to Arthur handing it to him as he was patted down. When I was watching that scene all I could think is this is exactly why TSA should not be armed. I can totally see them handing their gun to a passenger as they pat them down.
