Yes they have been all Boeing until now. All Alaska Airlines operated flights were on 737s.

Really? What were those AS MD-80s I've flown on?

Legally Boeing aircraft since the late '90s. Also, they've all been retired for 10 years now.

Didn’t we go through this exact same question awhile back? Most people knew what I meant. I meant recent history.

You forgot to point out that AS had 727s, 707s, a 990, and 880.

Thanks for posting this!

I must say, 530 looks a little bit... odd. Just like the 732 looked a little odd back in the day. Just not enough space to put the ‘Alaska’ in the right place. I guess I just thought what would work on the 73G would work on the 319. But now that I look at pictures of the 319 and 73G, the 319’s wingbox is much bulkier much further forward, resulting in less space to squeeze the name in. Thus they lifted it to a location similar to that of the Alaska Air Cargo fleet.

Currently 5 of 8 A321N painted, 40 of 53 A320 painted, and 3 of 10 A319 painted for 48 of the 71 (67%) of the Airbus in Alaska’s fleet. They may eventually repaint the SF Giants and More West Coast A321Ns and the two More to Love A321Ns.

From what I last read, the 2 More to Love 321s will keep their current livery until the next paint cycle down the line, leaving only the 3 VX and 2 white tail A321Ns to be painted this year. Suppose we will know for sure as the year progresses

Unknown if this applies to the 737 as well

Hi, I have a quick question - and forgive me if this has been answered.

Did Alaska pause repainting its Boeing fleet in an effort to prioritize the removal of the Virgin branding from the Airbus? Regardless, what is the progress on the Boeing fleet?

Thanks!

Aside from 609 (timbers) 612 is the only remaining 700 still wearing older colors, in this case the interim livery

I must say I find it odd too...is it me or is the "Alaska Airlines" titles at the front of the ;plane don't look straight relative to the window line, Or do I need new glasses? lol

I love how they're getting this done so fast! The new interiors come next...they look fantastic and the satellite wi-fi is going to be a hit on flights to Hawaii, Mexico, etc.

I heard they have to pay their licensing fee to SRB/Virgin Group as long as the name is still out there. No wonder they're in a hurry! ;)

I flew on a AS branded Airbus last year and loved it. It was very pretty up close. I have a question though I’m hoping someone could answer. On my flight the mood lighting was the VX pink/ purple but I’m noticing a lot of pics of Airbuses with blue... is this something they are switching to before the interior mods that is easy to do?

While the complete cabin reworks are being done at GSO, it seems like the blue mood lighting is being done during the relatively short MNX turns at PAE. Can anyone confirm? This may account for the number of Airbi with AS livery and lighting but VX seating and configuration.

When it comes time to repaint the Timberwolves plane, will it retain its specialty paint or be painted into the standard livery?

On my Ford Fusion, I can adjust the mood lighting just with the turn of a button. I hope its not too much more complicated.

I believe the VX Airbuses just had tinted covers over standard white lights for its “mood lighting.” All you have to do with that is swap the covers to change lighting color. Less sophisticated but cheaper than color changing bulbs.

There is no Timberwolves plane, there is a Portland Timbers plane.
