CARIBBEAN Airlines Ltd (CAL) has reported its operating profit for the first six months of 2018 (January to June) is up $120 million, 77 per cent, compared to the same period last year, the state airline said in a statement.
As of July 17, Copa Airlines started its daily service from Panama to Curaçao. COPA has been flying 4 times a week to Curaçao since 2012. COPA operates the route with either an E190 or a Boeing 737-700/800.

In BGI the new government has brought back up the talk of adding five (5) jet bridges , resurfacing the runway and expanding the commercial space in the airport. I am not sure how this would be possible as the country is broke.

Regarding A380 capabilities, I think infrastructurally-wise both BGI and POS can handle the A380. The problem will be the handling of the upper deck. Because of this I can see this resulting in a longer turnaround time for the A380. This in my opinion goes to all airports in the Caribbean when it comes down to the A380. Just my 2 cents

Does BGI have the capability to handle the A380 also can POS handle it also does anyone have any insight.

BGI, POS, PTP, and FDF are on their compatibility map. In regards to the upper deck, the A380 will be serviced similarly to how its done at DXB or DOH when air bridges are not available.

While all of that is true it still doesn't explain why PY didn't add service on the POS CUR to offset seats lost when Insel dropped the route. PY has a problem and that is the fact that PBM is poorly integrated into the rest of the Americas so they need to generate service out of other markets if they are to see proper utilization of their fleet. So one would think that PY would jump into that market if it was consistently under served.
Btw there are fewer seats this summer from POS to the USA, so there must be some softness in the T&T travel market. In fact BW seems to be looking to fill seats as they schedule extra stops in GND and even BGI on a few of its JFK POS flights to cater to the peak travel periods to those islands. Their new JFK SVD is a carve out of existing JFK POS flights so this also must reduce seats on the JFK POS. Its JFK GEO service is intact. FLL POS has also seen reduction in nonpeak periods as JFK has as well.

DXB and DOH most likely have catering trucks that can service the upper deck which no airport in the Caribbean has so I don't think any Caribbean airport will or can handle the A380 as DXB and DOH do on remote stands.

With regards to catering that should not be a real problem since most flights to Europe are under 10 hours and since the A380 fly much longer flights and those airlines serve at least three meals per flight so they can fully cater the flight for the whole round trip. As for boarding with two doors it will be slightly longer yes but not that much longer if done correctly.

What are the odds of seeing KEWR and KFLL to TNCM coming in the near future? JetBlue was rumored for those two routes pre-Irma.
Also, JetBlue had a partnership/agreement with Seaborne Airlines.... With Seaborne merging with Silver Airways, does JetBlues partnership still stay? If not, does JetBlue resume all of their Embraer connecting flights from San Juan?

B6 has codeshare with Silver.

I could see FLL-SXM. Can't see EWR-SXM with all the other competition out of NYC. I don't see why they'd feel the need to. The market is big but not that big.

Look at BGI... JetBlue serves the island of Barbados with 4 Routes - JFK/BOS/FLL-BGI as year round and EWR-BGI as seasonal.
If they can fill all of those flights at Barbados, then they can easily fill them for St. Maarten (after SXM starts making more of a comeback of course)

Schedule shows reduction in frequency down to 3 a week throughout the fall, ramped up to daily for the holidays then permanently gone after that. Too much competition on that route between up to 3 daily B6 and 2 daily WN. plus NK. Fly the route regularly and looks like I will have to put up with everyone (flight attendants) trying to be a comedian on WN or the so often surly crews on B6. For some reason JFK to MBJ remains bookable throughout 2019 as far out as July.

Is there a rule for it not to be created? If they wanna create one they should go ahead, if u wanna create a T&T or Eastern Caribbean aviation thread, go ahead... No one is stopping you

The most useful aspect of that site is that one of the posters does tremendous work in downloading US Jamaica travel statistics.

The ongoing issue though is that ties between the USVI and the OECS are weakening given that there hasn't been much migration within the past 20 years. Given also that many OECS nationals have returned to their homelands, moved on to the USA, or are just too old to travel. Maria/Irma I think made matters even worse.
