The landing gear doors are sequenced if the gear is not fully down and locked the doors will stay open until they are or if they're selected up the doors will stay open until the Gear is up and locked.

What airlines' 787 is that on the right with flower tail ? Looks nice and familiar but can't place it. Also, for some reason, the United livery always look good on the longer fuselage like 78J or 77W but less so on the shorter frames.

This something UA does every now and again with new aircraft. A plane is ‘unofficially’ delivered, it goes though the whole induction process. Then it then goes to PAE where a plane load of UA employees have been wined and dined, plus private toured though the FAL. There is then a ceremony where the employees sign off on the delivery. Big signs, pictures galore, and gift bags for everyone. ( whether there is actual legal paperwork involved or its all just for show, I don’t know ) All troop on board and fly off... usually to ORD, but the last such gig for a 39Max came to IAH. This is a really nice thing UA does for employee morale.
