Unlike previous years, deliveries of A350 in Q1 are moving ahead quite well. Airbus seems to have learned how to do it faster now. What is the target for this year? 100?

MSN216 must be into the more interesting stages of testing with the additional fuel volumes starting to be used - even if they are not yet flying very long stages.

The plane is white with red lettering and a red tail and winglets. With a bit of orange thrown in. How is this at all exciting.

Well it's so boring I didn't look at it long enough to fully register it's colors.

Having said that the days of any interesting color schemes is dead in aviation. Large titles that identify the brand and a logo on the tail. What's more important is that price the pax see on the internet when they go looking for tickets.

Where did I say that it's "exciting"...?

Can't say I'd describe the concept of coloration in that context.

I have to say the new (not so now) EY livery is so good though. Makes a change from the new (and old) white with a name on it. cough...Lufthansa...cough

Yes, because the difference between yellow and orange would have mattered in the grand scheme of things.

Regardless, I think the A350 looks amazing in IB colors. I was never really sold on the livery, but that looks really nice. Honestly, I think the A350 may be the sleekest looking aircraft around in this day of boring twins.

Ugly livery.its just plain red and yellow.its bland.the designer, didn't gave much effort to design to a more exiciting livery.that livery is a joke.sorry to say.i know that red is spains color, but that is like...'i needed to sleep' livery

A35k progress in production seems painfully slow despite the one aircraft actually in service seemingly performing well. Test flying with prototypes ground to a halt and the next two production aircraft doing nothing. No doubt cabin fit issues arising but is there more?

Also SQ ULH 359 after good work rate seems also at rest! TLS summer holidays not that distant so increased work rates needed or are we seeing a very fundamental production slow down as orders soften and carriers need to slip deliveries to cope with 787 and RR problems plus of course Airbus own Neo bottlenecks

Two of the 3 A350-1000 prototypes are being or will soon start to be refurbished for being sold. MSN65 will go to French Bee and MSN71 to Virgin Atlantic.
MSN216 the first A350-900LR for SQ is doing test flights. The last on may the 7th up to now.
There have been 3 A350 deliveries this month, 7 frames, 6 A350-900 and 1 A350-100o, are doing predelivery test flights and 4 frames, 3 -900 and 1 -1000, are waiting for the first flight.
Last month deliveries were 8 frames.
It would be interesting to know, how you measure a slow down.

I asked the question of the A35K three weeks ago (page 14), and hkcanadaexpat mentioned (reply 662) that several frames were delayed at the cabin fit stage, with customer supplied items missing. Since then, one frame did its first flight (MSN 118, CX) and another joined the flight line, waiting for first flight (MSN 102, QR). This seems consistent and encouraging (of course, I do not expect the QR frame to go quickly through the process).

The ULH frame is still undergoing testing, and the delivery is far, far away. I have not seen anything suggesting that the process is slower than expected (or not).

The new winglets are accompanied with a change to the wing. Change in the wing twist and some other aerodynamically work. We can expect at a certain point that all new frames are moved to this standard. It is one of the changes that MSN219, the A350-900ULR for SQ, is test flying as it is.
