What's MSN 161 been doing? Seems QR activity has been a little slow again.

So at least we know now that the A35Ks are not going to be cancelled, and as speculated, deliveries the A359s are still uncertain.

Up to now the parts have not arrived in TLS and have not been seen somewhere else. But that does not tell us a lot, as frames are not arriving at the FAL in strict MSN row.

It seemed to me like you quoted the wrong post for your response here, but you were absolutely correct in pointing out that frames do not arrive in strict numerical order at the FAL. As qf789 confirmed, parts for an Etihad frame have now arrived.

So, that aviation kid Alex Macheras who so proudly and confidently claimed that Etihad were canceling their a350s was yet again, spectacularly wrong as evidenced by this photo.

Granted, they could cancel, but at this stage of assembly, the penalties would be immense - and who'd want this frame?

It is possible, that this MSN will be used for a different airline and was swaped many month ago?

As of mid-Nov it was still assigned to Etihad. That doesn't mean it won't go to another airline but parts were built under Etihad ownership.

Maybe Etihad will just lease it to somebody else or sell it at delivery.

He's not totally wrong...yet. He said that they were going to cancel a 'significant' number of A350s, so they still could operate them, but fewer than originally ordered.

We'll have to wait and see. Either way, he's terrible with his predictions and as it stands, that A350 fuselage proves him to be 100pc wrong - at least until such time the order is actually cancelled and that frame is actually reassigned to another airline.

Still begs the question who'd take that frame if Etihad did actually cancel....

Alex is right; even Rueters have picked up the info and raised speculation about the A350 orders.

There are lots of times frames were built and even painted but did not go to the operator (ie. A380s that now went to ANA, A321 neo for that airline that went bankrupt (I forgot the name lol), QR with their A320neos, ect...).

Alex gets a lot of insider information from different sources. :)

Sorry but Reuters carried that story several hours before he did.

You are right that frames are often built for one airline but are delivered to another but you pick a false example. The Skymark A380s you are thinking of went to Emirates. The ANA A380s have been built for them from scratch.

Well they can always build the frames and sell them to other airlines or lessor like what happened to UL's frame. Pay a huge penalty rather than operating 62 frames at a loss.

'Story' is the operative word. Others would call it backtracking.

Further proof this fake-news 'anal'yst is wrong yet again. Less than zero credibility.

Thanks, that’s another busy day in TLS. Presumably MSN 245 will be stored for departure in 2019, like MSN 226.

I have LH @ MSN 314. Again, take it for what its worth. The A350 Production site is very useful and informative but not always accurate. It seems we have different sources of information, some of which jives, some of which doesn't. I'm not saying that i am right and they are not. I'm just saying take my info with a grain of salt as well as their info with a grain of salt. For example, MSN 282 which they list as "to be assembled" actually rolled out of FAL almost a month ago. There unfortunately isn't a gospel we should all rely on and squash info others publish as wrong.
