Looks as though MSN 231 might br the last A350 to leave TLS on Delivery in 2018. Seem to be doubts about all the other completed frames as a result of customer issues.

Whilst departing from TLS is a symbolic act, the important aspect for Airbus is the frame being handed over to the client in exchange for money. I'm sure quite a few more frames will show as contractually delivered for 2018

I wouldn't count my eggs too fast if i were you. On top of the one that is leaving now, don't discount MSN 211 (QR) or MSN 268 (CA). With regards to the 3 HX frames, who knows...

That is a lot of metal for HNA Group alone....plus recent A330 deliveries, can they take in that many widebody in short period of time? Are financial plan in place?

What are the delivery dates for Virgin’s A350s? Also how many of the 12 will they take in 2019?

Expect new production troubles next year. The facility of an Airbus subsidary in Augsburg has burnt down.

Is this the same factory which supplies Boeing through that Vought sub contract for 787 rear pressure bulkheads?

It looks like that contract was shifted to Aernnova (a Spanish company) in 2016, with first delivery this year?http://www.aernnova.com/en/spanish-aernnova-delivers-first-aft-pressure-bulkhead-to-boeing-787-production-line/

looks like :
Premium Aerotec in Augsburg does the 787 and A350XWB rear pressure bulkhead in resin infusion.
... and lots of other stuff too ..

but is not their only production site:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Premium_AEROTEC#History
( Augsburg has a historic backtrace to the Rumpler Werke from before WWI )

Besides that one source that seems to be echoing through aviation sites, does anyone have any other links? Also, they said Airbus released a statement, but I’m not finding any.

Hello folks!

what is a "maintenance" test flight and a "revised" engine run? re these standard tests run on all 350s prior to delivery or do they signify an issue that needs a resolution?

With 110 being produced each year, I am hoping we in out-of-the-way SAN will soon see the 350 on a regular basis. It looks like a very comfortable plane.

I think a "maintenance test flight" is considered here as any flight after the First Flight but before the Customer Acceptance Flight.

After all the Customer Acceptance Flights (there can be multiple) and the customer is happy usually the engines get replaced with brand new ones prior to the actual Delivery Flight. This is where they do another engine run to make sure everything is working fine with the new engines and I think this is considered here as the "revised engine run". The descriptions are a bit vague on here, but its enough to get an understanding what happened.

Let’s not confuse the issue if you have no idea what you’re talking about. Let’s wait for the person who makes the posts to define his comments.

All engines aren’t changed after the customer flight and before delivery.

Maintenance test flights, engine runs and taxi tests generally relate to frames that are ready for delivery or have been contractually delivered but remain in Toulouse for xyz reason (mostly HNA Group frames as of late). To remain "ready" these frames require such activity.

These are not production issues, these are customers issues.

A fire at Airbus’s Premium Aerotec subsidiary in Augsburg, Germany, isn’t expected to have any impact on jetliner deliveries. Airbus is assessing the situation and will work with the aerostructures manufacturer on mitigation measures if necessary, Schaffrath said.

The blaze at Premium Aerotec damaged machinery worth at least 10 million euros ($11.4 million) and will disrupt the unit’s own production, according to spokeswoman Barbara Sagel. Options for mitigation include switching some output to other sites at the unit, according to Airbus. Those comprise four other plants in Germany and one in Romania.

you’re last statement is incorrect, only rarely are the engines changed as they are part of the acceptance process. They are only replaced in exceptional circumstances.
