Are the737-700s just getting WiFi? Or are they getting a full cabin refresh?

To my knowledge, just 2Ku.

Agreed, my number of A321-200 ceo's on hand at end of Q3 2018 was 63, with 64 still to be delivered, for the total of 127 I am estimating that by year end Dec 31, 2018, they should have 67 physically on hand, but not sure if the most recent delivery or two will have been actually inducted into service yet.

They have now received 31 so far this year, which is the scheduled total, and all are in service. Are you seeing one or two more being delivered this month?

What's the story of the overheads on the 739s? I've seen a mixed bag (no pun intended) between those that do and don't have the bins allowing carryons to be stood on their sides; I've flown two today and 3854 did while 3826 didn't.

The first 50 or so have smaller bins. After that, they all have the larger "Space Bins". It was a running change by Boeing and while they offer a retrofit package, there is no indication Delta has signed up for it.

I believe the changeover was 3851 - can anyone confirm?

Alaska has retrofitted all of its 739s and its few Sky Interior 738s with the space bins, and in real life that has cut down significantly on carry-on trouble at the gate. More passengers still need to learn to put bags sideways, but even those that do really help.

Thanks, so that means only 2 A321's delivered during all of Q4 2018? so at year end 12/31/2018 they will have a total of 65 A321's on hand? Is it 4 of the 737-900ER that are being delivered during Q4 2018?

Yes, only 2x 321s. 5x 739s have already been delivered in Q4 (3905-3909), and 3910 should enter induction this month as well.

Thanks. I could've sworn the first one I flew after they were delivered (which was either 832 or 834) had them.

I was originally thinking it was in the 30s as well, but after cross referencing notes the changeover happened in early 2016 which corresponds with 851 and up.

She'll probably go tonight/tomorrow.

Well here we are one week later, and she keeps flying, probably upsetting regular A320 fliers who would expect to have IFE and ISP on-board! I'm surprised that there aren't any spare A320s at these hubs that can be swapped as the winter schedule should allow a little slack in the fleet! I'm guessing that is the case....no spares!

They might also be waiting for one of the birds currently in mod to exit rather than have three lines going concurrently. Given that these are the last ones, the lines should be closing rather than continuing at the previous pace.

Any update on how many 76Zs there are now in total? And how many 76Ls/76Qs are left?

76Z: 36 in service, will be 41 when mods are complete.
76L: 13 (3 in CAN that I'm told will get mods while there, 1 in ATL getting mods, 1 other to also get mods). Should be 8 left when complete.

Thanks for the info! Are all the L -> Z conversions scheduled to happen before Summer 2019?

I believe so (it certainly seems plausible), but someone with more definitive info would need to advise.

1503 retired in March. 182 (currently in CAN) is parked for a bit, then getting mods/heavy check. I'm not aware of any that were to be retired this fall.

I don't understand why they retiring newer MD90s before older ones? For example 9264 and 9265 were retired before 9206, which I flew on from Tucson to Atlanta last year. Wouldn't it make more sense to draw down the fleet in chronological order?
To me, it will always be:
- Bombardier CSeries
- Airbus A321neoLR and A321neoXLR
- EMBRACER ERJ-170, ERJ-175, ERJ-190, and ERJ-195
- MITSUBUSHI MRJ

Anti narrowbody-long range-twinjet gang. Long live the A380 and 747!

It all depends on cycle/hours, plus taking into consideration when the next mx checks are due.

None of the MD-90s is remotely close to any cycles/hours limit. Retirement timing is mostly about when heavy checks are coming due for any given frame. In the specific case of 9264 and 9265, maintenance differences stemming from those two frames having been assembled in China may also have played a role in the decision to retire them.

Just to clear things up, none of the MD-90s have been broken up as of yet. They are parked in SBD, BYH and MZJ engineless. These engines are either due for an overhaul, or have a decent amount of green time and the airframe is due for heavy MX.

Thanks to everybody who answered my question. Will the Chinese built frames be eventually broken up or will they be stored until needed?

Most likely - this was the one that was missing engines and had its windows taped up in ATL.
To me, it will always be:
- Bombardier CSeries
- Airbus A321neoLR and A321neoXLR
- EMBRACER ERJ-170, ERJ-175, ERJ-190, and ERJ-195
- MITSUBUSHI MRJ

Anti narrowbody-long range-twinjet gang. Long live the A380 and 747!

3273 ferrying to ATL. Monitoring 3227 as it should go to SAL soon for the last 320 P2 mod.

DAL parked 2 717's over winter with reduced capacity. Planes will be back for summer.
