Any Deliveries of A330 or A321 in 2018?

Definitely not A330. A321 is a possibility.

Iran Air is eyeing to launch flights to Australia and resume Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Beijing and etc. these B777's will most likely being used on the LHR route as well.
IR has 15 B777ER's on order and 15 B777X planes, next to 16 A350-1000, 28 A330NEO plus 8 A330-200's

If IR does keep on expanding like this then it will be a major blow to airlines such as EK, QR, TK...
Good for IR though.

Why no A330? Are all the production blocks full for the A330 in 2018?

Not too bad. Iran air is in my opinion really in need of a new livery, but the billboard livery is a least a step in the right direction.

Iran Air's livery (billboard) is timeless, iconic and classy. More importantly it goes well on both narrow body aircraft types like ATR's, A320's as well as wide body aircraft.
Channex757 wrote:The ATRs are the most important piece of the fleet at the moment. Iran is a pretty large country and there is a solid need for good domestic travel. Incoming A320 family aircraft will be a big part of this too.
Get the basics in place as they are doing, and operating those 773ERs will fit nicely with the A330s.

The Ceo of Iran Air has said that flights to Sydney, Adelaide, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur will be launched with the 777's.

That's why the ATRs are so important. Good feed to the Tehran hub to service the longhaul aircraft.
The same goes for people coming into Iran, who can then connect to their final destination easily. ATRs are great feeder planes.

I might be wrong but I think the Atr is used mostly on domestic flights within Iran, not so much from Tehran. I read that some previously inactive airports got flights now thanks to the aircraft. It seems it's a perfect fit for IR.

Tehran is a major hub for domestic flights!

Is really 727 of Iran Aseman still in commercial passenger service? There is no chances to get this information from outside, there are lot of rumors in topics related to 727, but on one confirmed definitely by fact, eg last flight number and etc.
Please kindly provide some info.

I saw the news about potential flights to Toronto and I find it doubtful. Canada and Iran do not have diplomatic relations for several years now. Also, previous attempts to serve YYZ in the late 1990s were blocked by the Americans as the certain landing patterns would cross or come close to the US border.

Personally I think Trudeau might use seasonal charters from YYZ to IKA as a form of rapprochement with Iran. Also, FedEx regularly flies over Iran, so Iran could threaten to close that corridor to US airplanes if the US tries to block a Toronto route.

Adelaide? There is a Afghan community there but nothing substantial, I would've thought Melbourne over Adelaide considering it has for one a sizable Iranian/Persian community and a larger Afghan community also
